Director Matt Wilson completed a Graphic Design Diploma at Monash University where he majored in photography. From his love of photography, imagery and design Matt started directing. His work is recognised for its international look and his eye for what’s graphic and original.

He has directed over 300 commercials and digital content for international agencies and multinational clients worldwide. Shooting high-end commercials in Mexico, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, India, China, Vietnam, Europe, America and Australia. Brands include, P&G, Unilever, Nokia, Panasonic, Nestle, GE, Sharp, Corona, Mc Donald’s, Ponds, Pantene, Dove and Coke.

His talent has led to many awards: Best of Bates, Finalist twice at the New York Festival, MADC Awards, PANPA Awards, Muse Awards, Create Awards, numerous short film awards, Silver at the Global Summit Creative Awards and his POSB film won a Bomb Award. His designs for 2dx, Melbourne Central, HWT, Kit Kat and his photographs have been featured in The Design Files and DeskTop Magazine.

He has made over 10 short films - some of these now in the National Archive – and many music videos for artists such as Hugo Race, Blow, The Go-Betweens, Magnetic, Horsehead, Little Murders, The Panics, Lief and Bamboo. He has also directed the prestigious Melbourne International Film Festival trailers twice.

Matt continues to exhibit his photographs accepting the occasional commission. He surfs and plays music in duo 1/4 Minus.

Now working freelance Matt continues to film around the globe.
